We have designed the treatment facility and program to replicate a natural home environment as much as possible. At the same time, we place a great deal of emphasis on repairing and reuniting any natural family bonds that exist. Working towards the eventual return of the child to his natural home.
If the option of returning to his natural family is not available, we then focus on transitioning the child to the least restrictive and most homelike option that is available. This may be a foster home for a young child or a transitional apartment for an older child. These decisions are made in conjunction with the child’s caseworkers at Children’s Division and any other involved state or local agency. All agencies are seen as vital members of the treatment team.
